Madeline Weinrib Atelier
My sister just purchased
a Weinrib carpet for her new apt.
(In a beautiful blue Native American print.)
I love it so much, because I can never find
floor coverings that feel contemporary but
aren't ultra modern. I lean towards a more
vintage and antique color palette.
I didn't know this.
Madeline Weinrib is the great granddaughter of

Briny Breezes
Florida
The vanishing of Blue Collar America
488 residents were offered 1 million each
to vacate their sea-side trailers
for a new luxury development.
But the deal is off.
Money can't buy happiness
( A front porch I like, Big Lebowski style...for the "dude" in all of us)
~peace-out~
I love the attitude of Briny Breezes.
The residents have refused to accept the money.
The retro abode of palms, golf carts, old timers
and funky 50's style homes is just
too darn special to give up.
cheers!

I'm not too young
to be a die-hard
Neil Young fan
For my 23rd birthday last week
I went to see Neil play
up at 175th St.
United Palace Theatre
is an old church converted
into a music hall. It was the
most spectacular theatre to hear
the godfather of grunge
play acoustic
The stage was sparse in it's
old railroad decor. It felt good to see
Neil in his comfort zone, instruments
strewn across the stage for his
"seemingly" improvised set list.
Felt just like Massey Hall.
It was as if Neil was
20 again, back in Winnipeg
...and playing for that sweet old man in all of us
so good.
