TAF

goodnight.

My fieldnotes tucked away by DeaPeaJay.

the things we carry

\"Paper and Staples.\"

people carry lots of different things
but there is nothing like that
one notebook in your bag
where you scribble
names, numbers,
discoveries,
lists.

The items I carry by timlahan.

SPACE PROGRAM
by tom sachs.

so good.
because the book
has over 200 photographs
of the interior spaces & architectural
details of the NASA space program.
plus, the pages are laminated.
(you could use Windex!)

I like his Unité as well.

MAD for socks
and so is the socktorialist.

especially in men's fashion.

Baptista will bring back
the SOCK.

DOUBLE-layered SOCKS

the jewel thief

"I knew how to dress,"
said Ms. Payne.

"I never did like ruffles and frills.
I just like a simple-cut fine material
that moves when I move."

No one sums up
fashion better than:

Doris Payne

The now 77 yr old thief
recounts her 5-decades of
stealing diamonds.

Doris pocketed her first
diamond at 27 and says
the trick of the trade
is pure & simple:

grace and elegance

She cited gone with the wind
as her inspiration to dress so
immaculate and chic.

nothing too elaborate.
a wide-brimmed hat
or a well-cut dress
would do the
trick.

tank / jacket : an ode to the old ESPRIT

the ESPRIT era:

1. Esprit's Graphic Work 1984-1986
2. Esprit : the Comprehensive Design Principle

Olivero Toscani
Roberto Carra
Tamotsu Yagi

PS:
these books are a bit dated now,
but ESPRIT had a vision and had one
of the most innovative graphic
campaigns of all time.
Benetton too.

Oliviero went on to
launch COLORS magazine
and has yet another, youthful idea.

As for ESPRIT: a past-time.
