there's something so
non-fussy about paris
apartments and their
baroque details

understated elegance.

just like paris street style,
every american knows it's
impossible to replicate.

the french keep
a beautiful secret.

You are completely right---there's no way to fully replicate the French (or, European in general...) style. It's a feeling, I suppose. I love looking into flats in other countries...they seem to have an old, storied feel to them. Thanks for sharing these beautiful, airy rooms!

Tout a fait d'accord. The longer I've lived in Europe (Holland, France) and visited with friends, the more I've come to appreciate...space. Not necessarily ginormous amounts (in fact, usually not), but rather no-fuss, judicious use of space. But then maybe some of my French friends might say that of some of the places they have seen in New York--eye of the beholder?
