West Side Story is a monument. As a child, my grandma didn't let me watch the ending as she thought it too sad- as a result, I became obsessed with the movie, and later went through a period of watching it every week, sad ending included. I loved that Richard Beymer & Russ Tamblyn ended up playing in "Twin Peaks".
