Briny Breezes
Florida

The vanishing of Blue Collar America
488 residents were offered 1 million each
to vacate their sea-side trailers
for a new luxury development.
But the deal is off.

Money can't buy happiness

(
A front porch I like, Big Lebowski style...for the "dude" in all of us)

~
peace-out~
I love the attitude of Briny Breezes.
The residents have refused to accept the money.
The retro abode of palms, golf carts, old timers
and funky 50's style homes is just
too darn special to give up.
cheers!

What!?! Did they offer the whole community a million or a million a piece? Because offering someone just over $2000 for a retreat is basically just an insult.

It was, on average, 1 million apiece. But some would have gotten much more, eg 3 million and others much less, eg a half million. I'm hoping no more offers come, or, that we have the good sense to reject them.
