Monica Vitti
under dark skies,
amongst hazardous rocks,
and so facilely chic as she
searches for a lost friend
in the late + great
Michelangelo Antonioni's
L'avventura
(1960)

I viewed his films and was blown away by his photographic perspective, the way that he shoots people from the back is amazing and touches me on deeper levels. Monica Vitti is one of the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. The angles of her face, that hair, those eyes. Stunning.

Hmm thanks for this interesting post. Antonioni died on the same day as Bergman. Some pellicule was weeping...
