I've had that bag in my Etsy favorites for a while now, and I look at it all the time-- I'm so tempted...

yes. agreed with anonymous above. its never worth killing an animal for fashion. I wish the fashion industry would see that.

ano.. this would be the first messenger bag a cow would have been
sacrificed for-
leather and horn, bone material are only spin off products of food industry.
what are alternative materials for a durable bag?
forget plastic, perhaps woven hemp interwined with recycled plastic weave or glass weave..but most weave weakens fast . even the wax linen /cotton materials fray on the edges..
leather can be treated and seen after for generations..
and.. cows keep on farting up the ozon hole - so a nice leather bag might be some good revenge..?

dear "2or3" - please forgive my yeaterday`s post. i didn`t want to be rough.
..blessed be the ones that remind you of your poise or perhaps errors.
blessed be our mothers ,they have all the right to do so.
and blessed be your idea of doing good.

thats true, but it shouldn't have died for the food either, so i think its better just not to contribute to any industry that benefits from murder.
plus.. I use canvas bags and my primary one i have been using for 5 years and my mother used it for 20 years before that. i would definitely say its durable and its not even that thick.
thick canvas is really just as good as leather. (but guilt free)

ano.. you are right with the industries.. everybody seems to take humanity for granted somehow.
woven material always has magic about it, esp. the old woven heavy duty canvas.
some years ago i designed an exhibition about geringsing double ikats..indonesian fabrics ..the works.

fabrics there tell us incredible stories , are always travelling to and fro families..

Mmmmh that bag!!! I'm thinking about discreetly suggesting it to my friends, as what could be my 30's birthday present...
