Ha! You just inspired me to book a ticket to see the Schulman doco, Visual Acoustics this weekend. And in keeping with the film festival theme, today it would have to be Agnes Varda.

It would be Nicolas Bouvier.
Because of his books L'USAGE DU MONDE and LE POISSON SCORPION
They have be translated but I don't know the english titles

oh these really weird coincidences in life!! - a couple of hours ago i set on (ok, not on a bench) the floor at a friend of mine and we were watching a book of julius schulman!!! and now i read your post - julius schulman!

Oooh I love everyones thoughts on this one. Frida would be an amazing visit. I think Louise Bourgeois would be my pick.

and p.s. Julius knew a thing or two about the ladies too! His presentations always had some beauty inbetween the gorgeous homes he shot. He used to some to our school every once in awhile... while some of the old guard were still around.
