do you see where I'm going with this...

I'm still hung up on europe.

the light, the composition of space.
the paring of materials, proportions,
the subconscious nod to history.

i see where you are going and i like it. i think as a puritanical society, our aesthetics have suffered.

dear lee,
i love the way you look, search, think visually.. but also i'm amazed about your texts, they're so poetic and still unpretentious..

and i still do not understand HOW did you make it - your blog-list (an aesthetic)?!? that's all real blogs! and good ones, in surplus!

.....

ps: when i was younger i had a nickname "lee". some of my closest friends still use to call me like that..

These are so great. I'm kind of in the middle of a reboot myself and what you've been posting is really hitting the spot. Keep going!

the richness of layers of monochrome...washed in natural light.

A link to history, a sense of permanency. The idea that you can make an object and it has actual potential to be important, to stick around for many years to come; not to be swept away, made into a fad, or recycled into something kitch. European art is substantial, founded.

I love Bernini, especially in the context of the Borghese Gallery - my favorite stop on a 2 month tour of Art & Architecture through Italy.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR BEAUTIFUL & INSPIRING BLOG. IT IS VERY PRETTY, WHAT YOU DO.
