ahh.....this makes me want to stroll the streets of cap d'antibes in a crisp linen dress. this is how i always want to imagine an espadrille. even if you gave up all other shoes for these, i think you would still need a "sturdy" pair of leather sandals :) -j
that's a tough tough one...
oh my goodness....i LOVE slip on canvas espadrilles!!i like that stripe and blue one <3
great photo's, helped me decide; I'm definitely going to France this summer.......
since your move to CA, the composition of your blog has changed
i just discovered your blog a love it! you photos are lovely!
What an interesting observation...in what way has my blog changed upon moving to SF? Please tell me!...best,lee
out west subconsciously different stimuli affect youCA is not urban the way NY is, so that may be what is missing--the metallic-ness of living in NYC, on the East Coast in general, with its old industrial patinaeven SF (tho' you're in the Bay area? Not SF proper?) feels dilapidated compared with NYCso all this combined with the softness of CA living will raise your optimism, become less skeptical, cynical... CA is a siren of myth... follow Odysseus and strap yourself against its allure
oh espadrilles!! makes me want to jet off to spain...;))oh but i do love the navy blue ones...or navy blue and white striped...that makes me think of my childhood.nancyps true...there is a different feel to your blog since being in california...
I love this! I actually just purchased a pair of blue stripy canvas espadrilles. I am very excited to wear them every day for the rest of the summer. Before the snow comes and ruins my life...
i'm a little embarrassed to admit how hard i been trying to hunt down those stripy castaners. some great looking shoes, there.

I agree, great photos. There is a site in the UK called www.espadrille.co.uk that has a select of striped espadrilles & ships worldwide.
