Well even Jarmusch is unoriginal in this statement--appropriation isn't anything "Oh wow what a great idea"--go back to the Dadaists (and probably farther back; I don't know all my art history)... The recombinant method I think it's called...

This is a great quote. Jarmusch is such a fearless filmmaker that you can imgaine him saying something like this.
