would you wear
a pant suit in place
of a wedding dress?

chloe ss 09

my sister isn't
into the whole traditional
wedding dress thing.

i know she
would never go
for a pant suit, but
man, i think it would
be super cool & beautiful
to see a bride pull it off
in a very feminine way

would you take
a risk like that?

Perhaps on an island, barefoot on a beach with a white string bikini underneath.GC

Ab-so-lutely. And my cousin in England did just that about a year ago. Very chic. An outdoor wedding with Raj tents and cushion seating.

I wore white riding clothes with a veil for the first part of our wedding since we were on horseback coming in, and then changed to a strapless ballgown for the reception. Might as well make the most of it, right?

I love it - you remind me of Bianca Jagger's iconic white YSL suit in St. Tropez circa 1971 - still #12 on Conde Nast Bride's Celebrity Dress list!

Even without the horses, I would do it. Not the dress in the pic though. Too baggy. It would have to be more of a sleek YSL-inspired Le Smoking if you want me to get specific.

My boyfriend's mother did, about 25 years ago. She was really young and had wild curly hair. His dad had a long beard and white shirt and pants.Really cool!

Yes!! I love it. I am all for wearing whatever makes you feel good and what you love. I wanted to wear a gorgeuos black dress for my second wedding but my husband put his foot down on that one so I opted for a deep blue green one.

I don't know if I would wear a pant suit instead of a wedding dress. I'd be more willing to wear a pant suit as a guest. Maybe if it was a really awesome pant suit I might consider wearing one as my wedding outfit. Depends. :-)

I would wear a pantsuit and I love the one in the picture. it is all about personal style not about what is expected or demanded by tradition. the only caution is that one needs to think about how one will feel 30years from now when looking back at the wedding day pictures...may have a little sigh of regret? For me personally, a comfy elegant pantsuit would be perfect, no regrets!

I LOVE this blog, I added it to my bookmarks!
The way you couple photos/fashion/other forms of art with a few pithy phrases is beautiful.

I was thinking about it for a while, but not a suit, I was thinking about white trousers and t-shirt and lot of white necklaces ( a little bit hippie). finally I decided to design my wedding dress, it worked.

Wow! Wouldn't wear this one as a wedding suit but would wear this one every single day after. Fabulous simplicity. LOVE the sandles. Quite simply Perfection.
Proof that less is much, much more.
Unfortunately it looks like linen which means......wrinkles. Ah well.

This white suit (perfection) would also look wonderful with a teal shawl sash tied around the waist. It would also look wonderful with black or kaki bottoms.....and rope sandals. Its the quintessential little white suit! I wouldn't wear it for my wedding but would certainly admire whoever did.
